I would like to start by saying I don't know how anyone didn't give this place 5 stars. The food was absolutely amazing! We were a party of 4 that ordered 40 wings, buffalo chicken quesadilla, and 2 Frankie's triple plays that was a mix of broccoli and cheese puffs (YOU MUST TRY THEM), jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, pickle spears, and sweet corn nuggets... We just about finished everything! Definitely do not leave this place without having the wings and the broccoli and cheese puffs. You will not be disappointed!!

Excellent wings, great service. We did not like the spinach dip. They were nice enough to take it off the bill. The regular wing sauce was tasty and hot but not fire hot. The extra hot was pretty damn hot!!! Homemade chips awesome. Make time to visit for lunch or dinner if in cocoa beach.

First time here and my husband and I both really liked it. Cute little non-chain place. Servers were all very nice and friendly and food is reasonably priced. Will definitely be coming back!

I had a hankering for wings not too long ago and had never tried Frankie's before. I picked up some to go and although I usually try to stay very positive, I can't say I would go back. I had assumed that a specialty wing place would have awesome wings compared to a chain offering like a pizza hut but I was wrong. Not even close to what I expected for Buffalo wings. Sauce was inconsistent and too much grease. But there was a good level of spice. Maybe the cook needs to go on a vacation in western NY?

I am from Pennsylvania and am staying in the area for two weeks. Drive past earlier today and was in the mood for wings. Frankie claims to be the "king of wings".... Ahh not even close. I consider myself a wing expert and these were far from any decent wings that I have ever had either at home or in my travels. When I order wings, I want wings... And not drumsticks!! In my order of 10 wings, 6 of them were drum sticks, which is just not acceptable. To add insult to injury, they were the SMALLEST WINGS that I have ever eaten. Several of the drumsticks were the size of my thumb, and I have small hands. We had the garlic wings which was nothing more than a bunch of mild garlic thrown on top of the wings. Mild sauce was on the side which unfortunately was the best part of the wings. $10.00 an oder is a lot for mini wings and mini drum sticks. Needless to say, I will not be back and I would suggest that you not go either. The few positive posts I have seen must be relatives. Instead I would look for a good sports bar in the area that may have much better wings. I am sorry to say but Frankie, you need to be dethroned!!!! Steve M.

Great wings, fantastic house sauce on their homemade potato chips. The waitress was a little dense when we asked for the "kids wings," which is an order of four. To which she replied they only had 6 pieces as their smallest order. Um...on the menu it says 4. But she quickly corrected herself. This is only our 2nd time but it's just as good as the first!

Frankie's has some of the best wings around! If you're visiting the area (tourists) then take it to your best interest to stop by. This place is known around town for their wings. And when u come in, order the coop!

Tasty wings, cozy atmosphere. Try the Chicken Coop - fries topped with cheese and bacon

Just fantastic!! When looking for a local non-chain place to eat, this little restaurant was everything that prior reviewers had said. The wings were crispy and flavorful and the sauces were so delicious and seemed to be homemade. If I am ever in this area again, these wings are a must have!!

The wings here are ok, but everything else is just ok. The staff is nice, but the menu is kind of like eating at a junior high cafeteria. Burgers, fries, wings, mini corn dogs, etc. The chips on the table as you sit down is a nice touch.

Without question; these wings are "write home to mom about them"... Awesome, awesome wings. Somebody wrote about the staff not being friendly? NOT... They were awesome too.... If you like wings (wingettes) here, because they are the little wings; but they are awesome. If/when I come back to Cocoa Beach; Frankie's Wings is a definite stop on the list....

The wings are good and the service is decent. My only complaint is the location. I miss this place being in the Port.

Great wings and excellent service! Loved the cajun dry rub.

Give Frankie's a 5 based on their wings alone. Just like we like them. We got the buffalo wings "ridiculous" ( that's the heat level) and they were perfect. Also ordered the Thai sauce wings and they were great too! Just the right mix of sweet and hot. Free basket of homemade chips with our drinks were a nice touch. French-fries were nothing special, but who goes to a wing place for fries anyway??? Oh, and ambiance is nonexistent.

Just got back from Frankie's. I had a great experience; the staff was friendly and the waitress even brought out freshly made chips because she thought our food was taking a little longer to come out than usual, but I didn't think the wait was too unusual. My husband and I shared 10 wings and a large fry. It came with house sauce which was amazing! They make it there. It's half blue cheese and half ranch--- I asked :-) The wings were great--on the smaller side (in comparison to publix wings) and crispy... just how I like them. We ordered the medium sauce, but it tasted pretty mild. I really could taste the butter in the sauce more than the hot sauce itself. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but next time I'll try the "hot" sauce. I love hot foods, but my husband is a lightweight. The fries were fresh and yummy-- they could have used a bit of salt, but that's why restaurants put salt shakers on tables, right? All in all, 1 water, 1 soda, 10 wings, and a large fry cost about $16 which is pretty reasonable for good wings and a nice atmosphere.

Little casual place but great wings- crispy on the outside and juicy on inside. Their house made sauces were great, for both the wing sauces and dipping. Good little find amongst a beach town.

By far, some of the best wings I have ever had. And I love me some buffalo wings. They maybe be located in a half empty strip mall, but I absolutely loved their garlic (#4 hot) buffalo wings...and they always gave me more wings than I ordered. Always! I always ordered to go, but the place was never really crowded whenever I got the wings. But as I mentioned, they always gave me extra of something I loved. Could you ask for anything more??? Hopefully I'll be back at the Cape soon...to enjoy more of Frankie's wings!

The wings are fabulous!!!!! We ate there last night and it was great. There are several choices of sauces and even the hottest has great heat and flavor. We also got the chicken coop which was also a great appetizer. Service was great, very friendly, family run place. Would definitely eat here again and would suggest this place:)!!

I am guessing that this place is very famous because of its wings. However on my visit I ordered a chicken quesadilla. and it was very flavorless filled with a lot of chicken and little cheese. The interior needs a little update as there are still booths that were used from the Chinese or Japanese restaurant before.

I'm not big on wings... too messy, too much work for too little yield, too much skin... just not my cup of tea really. But occasionally you decide to take one for the team and eat somewhere you wouldn't ever choose on your own, just to please your significant other. And this is how we ended up at Frankie's during a recent trip to Cocoa Beach, thanks to some of you lovely Yelp folks and your raves about the place. First off, big props to the previous reviewer who said that they were hidden away, because that is definitely no stretch of the truth. We had passed this area at least two times already and hadn't even seen the place. Décor in here is nothing to write home about. Very bare bones, with a few vestiges remaining from when the place was obviously a Japanese restaurant in a previous life. But you don't go to a place like this for the ambiance, you go for the wings. So wings we got. If you don't feel like dealing with wings, the menu also has burgers, seafood, sandwiches, salads... all at refreshingly decent prices compared to the beach-town highway-robbery of tourists that we've been wading through. They also had a few specials that weren't on the menu, which were an even better deal. We ended up ordering the 30 wing special, which comes with a large order of french fries covered with cheese and bacon. You're only able to do two different sauces with your wings, half and half, regardless of how many are in the order... which is kind of lame in my opinion. I would be totally okay with paying a little extra to split an order more ways with additional sauces, you know? I was having a tough time deciding between the teriyaki and the Thai paradise (yet another reason I'm not big on wings - I really detest that traditional buffalo flavor), but our server was happy to bring out a sample of each when I asked. And I'm definitely glad I asked - I love almost all things teriyaki, but this one was made with a lot of sesame oil which I didn't care for. In the end, we ended up with the regular (buffalo style, third level of hotness) for the diehard wing fans at the table, and the Thai paradise for the kiddo and I. Our server brought a small basket of their homemade potato chips (the first basket is free) with our drinks, which were a nice change of pace. They were a tiny bit salty for me, and a few of them were a little chewy, but overall I really liked the thickness and the fact that they actually tasted like potatoes. What a novel idea! Our fries came out shortly afterwards-- plenty of cheese, the bacon was yummy and delicious and there was plenty of it too, and the fries themselves were delish. They were served with a few tubs of their house sauce (ranch and bleu cheese) which was surprisingly good with the fries. I usually don't do cheese fries because of the ridiculous grease factor, but these somehow managed to avoid that yucky shiny greasy look to them that always turns me off. My guy said he would have liked it better of the fries were cooked longer, but I favor french fries that have a bigger potato-to-crunch ratio so I was more than happy with what we had. Yeah, you heard that right. I like soft French fries. The sacrilege! The wings came out, and WOW. They were cooked to this perfect amazing crispy crunch. There's an option on the menu to make your wings "wet" for a buck or two more and get more sauce, but I don't see how that would ever be needed. I'm normally scrounging for the saucy goodness, but there was more than enough for the wings with plenty to spare. The Thai sauce itself? Delicious. Tangy and sweet with a little hint of a spicy kick at the end... so so good. The buffalo sauce - well, I hate the stuff, so everything you're about to get is strictly heresay from the other side of the table. But apparently it was really good, with about the same amount of heat as other regular sauces. The wings themselves were a little on the small side, but we had seven of them and some fries left when the dust settled so it's not like we went home hungry. And considering all of that was twenty-five bucks and fed all four of us? I'd say it was most definitely some big bang for the buck. With drinks and tax our check still came out under thirty-five bucks, which is a rare thing these days. The service was great, although I would be concerned if it had been a full house because it was a one-woman show the whole time we were there. There were only a few other parties in at the time, though, and we were well taken care of. She was very attentive and friendly, and was right there if and when we needed anything. This had the feel of a "locals" kind of haunt, which was then confirmed by the (really nice) guy we chatted with that's been a regular since they opened years ago. All in all? Great wings, great service, great prices, great people hanging out in there. We'll definitely be back. Which says a lot because I don't do wings. :)

This place is a mystery to me. They have good wings don't get me wrong but I have asked nicely many times to have a serving of celery with the wings or some Ranch dressing to dip them in. No go.. they won't even consider it..!! WTF? I don't even want them free as I would gladly pay extra for them but each time I am treated as if they not me know better what I should want with my buffalo wings? I have never seen a restaurant so confident or stupid as to tell me that they know better what to offer customers. In Florida 99% of all wing places have ranch and celery sticks as sides. I think it's about the only place I have ever ate at that specializes in WINGS that does not offer at least in some way (purchase as a side or free) dag gum celery sticks. I consider myself to be a wing aficionado enthusiast and know about good wings and what to have with them. This place just throws out the wings and dares you to eat them and if you don't like their offer of sides don't come back. I will keep asking but they will more than likely go out of business first before they realize to focus on their customers.

There are 2 things I know for sure...Frankie's wings is one of them. By far the best wing place in town....probably the coast. Froggers is the only other place I have seen wings that hot. The hottest I can take is "call Frankie"....I never can get past a bite or two.

Just visited a couple weeks ago. Thoroughly enjoyed munching on the wings. Hadn't been to the cocoa beach area in years and I strongly encourage you to check them out. Highly recommend their food for a real treat!

They just don't make wings like this anywhere else in the world. Growing up this was my favorite night out with the fam. I haven't been back in probably almost ten years, but I still crave the wings more often then I'd like to admit! This restaurant is great for families. The cover the tables with brown paper and supply the crayons for the kiddos. I have small pictures in my mind of what the place looks like and to be honest, I'm not even sure if the place is still around. I don't know the prices, because last time i went I was just a kiddo and I'm sure my parents foot the bill. They have the spiciest wings in the world...but they also have some for the weenies of the world :) After my parents carted me off to Bellingham Washington at the young age of 12, I missed my Frankie's..I got to visit once when I was 15 and you know that I went to eat there 3 or 4 times in that trip. The restaurant is located right on the water, you can see the cruise ships, pelicans...it's perfect. You better believe the first thing I'll do when I set foot in Florida is treat my self to some wings at Frankie's!
